President Donald Trump congratulated Boris Johnson on his election victory early Friday, and said Britain and the U.S. were now free to strike a “massive new trade deal” after Brexit.

Johnson’s Conservative Party swept to a landslide victory in the U.K. election on Friday, securing a strong majority in Parliament.

In a tweet following Johnson’s win, Trump said the deal could be “far bigger and more lucrative” than any deal with the EU.

“Congratulations to Boris Johnson on his great WIN! Britain and the United States will now be free to strike a massive new Trade Deal after BREXIT. This deal has the potential to be far bigger and more lucrative than any deal that could be made with the E.U. Celebrate Boris!” he said.

The convincing win gives Johnson plenty of support to secure a Brexit deal and negotiate Britain’s exit from the European Union next year. The British pound GBPUSD, +1.9751%  surged as exit polls began to reveal a clear Tory majority, while the decisive outcome, along with progress on U.S.-China trade talks also lifted U.S. stock futures YM00, +0.45%  Friday.

Trump has often praised Johnson, but the U.K. prime minister reportedly avoided meeting the U.S. president on his recent visit to London due to his unpopularity in Britain.

Meanwhile, Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage hinted that he may return to the U.S. to help Donald Trump’s presidential campaign as his party headed for failure in the U.K. election. Farage made the comments in an interview late Thursday.
