NRA cannot be dissolved by New York attorney general, judge rules

Justice Joel Cohen of a New York state court in Manhattan said Attorney General Letitia James’ accusations mainly concern private harm to the NRA, its members and donors, and which if proven can be addressed by targeted, less intrusive relief.

The judge said James, a Democrat, can pursue other claims against the NRA and individual defendants in her lawsuit, including the group’s longtime Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre.
