Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.02%

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Maytronics (TASE:MTRN), which rose 2.75% or 132 points to trade at 4931 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) added 1.34% or 43 points to end at 3243 and Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) was up 1.19% or 350 points to 29850 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which fell 3.56% or 86 points to trade at 2330 at the close. Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) declined 3.53% or 6070 points to end at 165840 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 3.14% or 76 points to 2344.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 289 to 138 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.19% or 350 to 29850.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 4.35% or 2.07 to $49.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 3.70% or 1.89 to hit $52.98 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 3.65 to trade at $1950.25 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.17% to 3.2035, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 3.9343.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 89.580.
