Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.20%, while the index climbed 0.24%, and the index added 0.58%.

The best performers of the session on the were Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 1.96% or 1.000 points to trade at 52.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:) added 1.64% or 0.310 points to end at 19.186 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:) was up 1.30% or 0.630 points to 48.980 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (DE:), which fell 0.86% or 0.900 points to trade at 103.400 at the close. Linde PLC (DE:) declined 0.75% or 1.400 points to end at 185.800 and Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:) was down 0.62% or 1.60 points to 254.90.

The top performers on the MDAX were Leoni AG (DE:) which rose 4.66% to 12.340, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:) which was up 2.49% to settle at 41.570 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 2.36% to close at 11.945.

The worst performers were Stroeer SE (DE:) which was down 1.80% to 70.850 in late trade, Alstria Office Reit-Ag (DE:) which lost 1.75% to settle at 16.300 and GEA Group AG (DE:) which was down 1.59% to 28.520 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were SLM Solutions Group AG (DE:) which rose 4.62% to 14.96, New Work SE (DE:) which was up 1.97% to settle at 284.50 and Siltronic AG (DE:) which gained 1.93% to close at 74.840.

The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:) which was down 1.55% to 53.900 in late trade, S&T AG (DE:) which lost 1.26% to settle at 20.40 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:) which was down 0.22% to 2.702 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 423 to 244 and 92 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.14% to 14.70.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.65 to $1462.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.77% or 0.45 to hit $58.13 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.55% or 0.35 to trade at $63.62 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1025, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.8592.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 98.160.
