France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.41%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.41% to hit a new 6-months high, while the SBF 120 index added 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (PA:RENA), which rose 4.36% or 1.30 points to trade at 31.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (PA:ALSO) added 4.27% or 1.76 points to end at 43.02 and Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) was up 3.21% or 4.85 points to 155.85 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 3.74% or 2.28 points to trade at 58.72 at the close. Carrefour SA (PA:CARR) declined 2.24% or 0.33 points to end at 14.37 and Bouygues SA (PA:BOUY) was down 1.89% or 0.65 points to 33.83.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Tarkett (PA:TKTT) which rose 7.65% to 14.21, TechnipFMC PLC (PA:FTI) which was up 6.18% to settle at 7.18 and Eurazeo (PA:EURA) which gained 5.54% to close at 53.35.

The worst performers were JC Decaux SA (PA:JCDX) which was down 6.39% to 20.50 in late trade, Klepierre SA (PA:LOIM) which lost 6.20% to settle at 18.76 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which was down 3.74% to 58.72 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 333 to 244 and 87 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 3.00% to 22.18 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.20% or 3.85 to $1881.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.18% or 0.49 to hit $42.14 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.67% or 0.73 to trade at $44.48 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1877, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8929.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 92.222.
