Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Paris, the added 0.20%, while the index gained 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which rose 6.62% or 0.956 points to trade at 15.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Atos SE (PA:) added 1.67% or 1.22 points to end at 74.30 and Societe Generale SA (PA:) was up 1.45% or 0.41 points to 28.64 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were TechnipFMC PLC (PA:), which fell 1.19% or 0.21 points to trade at 17.40 at the close. Sanofi SA (PA:) declined 1.06% or 0.90 points to end at 84.00 and Vinci SA (PA:) was down 1.00% or 1.01 points to 99.64.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) which rose 6.62% to 15.400, BIC (PA:) which was up 3.36% to settle at 63.05 and Imerys SA (PA:) which gained 2.82% to close at 37.22.

The worst performers were DBV Technologies (PA:) which was down 2.55% to 13.000 in late trade, Edenred SA (PA:) which lost 2.43% to settle at 45.45 and Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (PA:) which was down 1.69% to 42.37 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 332 to 227 and 109 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 4.30% to 12.68.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 0.95 to $1462.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.28% or 0.75 to hit $57.83 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.98% or 0.63 to trade at $63.34 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1024, while EUR/GBP rose 0.39% to 0.8594.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 98.180.
