France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.07%

At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.07% to hit a new all time high, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.08%.

The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (PA:RENA), which rose 3.72% or 1.21 points to trade at 33.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Kering SA (PA:PRTP) added 2.89% or 19.20 points to end at 683.40 and Carrefour SA (PA:CARR) was up 2.47% or 0.38 points to 15.73 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (PA:WLN), which fell 3.94% or 2.05 points to trade at 49.90 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 3.21% or 0.93 points to end at 27.88 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (PA:SGOB) was down 1.56% or 0.96 points to 60.64.

The top performers on the SBF 120 were Renault SA (PA:RENA) which rose 3.72% to 33.63, Valeo SA (PA:VLOF) which was up 3.23% to settle at 27.77 and Kering SA (PA:PRTP) which gained 2.89% to close at 683.40.

The worst performers were Valneva (PA:VLS) which was down 3.95% to 17.500 in late trade, Worldline SA (PA:WLN) which lost 3.94% to settle at 49.90 and TechnipFMC PLC (PA:FTI) which was down 3.56% to 6.28 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 348 to 281 and 80 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 6-months high.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.25 to $1827.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.00% or 0.82 to hit $82.75 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.39 to trade at $83.82 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1585, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8550.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.00% at 94.045.
