Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.86%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.86% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which rose 2.11% or 15.20 points to trade at 734.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) fell 0.87% or 0.95 points to end at 108.20 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was down 1.65% or 340.00 points to 20,260.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 11.84% or 12.16 points to trade at 90.50 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) declined 7.46% or 178.00 points to end at 2,209.00 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NZYMb) was down 6.18% or 30.00 points to 455.80.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 117 to 35 and 15 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) fell to 52-week lows; falling 11.84% or 12.16 to 90.50.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.17% or 2.35 to $110.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.97% or 2.19 to hit $113.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 14.36 to trade at $1,890.06 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.41% to 7.03, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.44.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.37.
