Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.29%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.29%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 4.47% or 14.0 points to trade at 327.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) added 3.99% or 44.0 points to end at 1147.5 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 3.87% or 14.9 points to 400.3 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 0.78% or 0.9 points to trade at 108.0 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) declined 0.25% or 0.4 points to end at 158.9 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 0.21% or 0.3 points to 166.3.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 102 to 52 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.20% or 0.85 to $71.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.95% or 0.70 to hit $74.66 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 9.80 to trade at $1798.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.36% to 6.5637, while EUR/DKK rose 0.04% to 7.4353.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 96.095.
