Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.58%

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.58%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which rose 2.28% or 23.5 points to trade at 1054.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 1.48% or 11.1 points to end at 762.1 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was up 1.33% or 4.2 points to 319.5 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which fell 2.31% or 2.6 points to trade at 110.2 at the close. ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) declined 2.12% or 2.55 points to end at 117.65 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was down 1.79% or 15.4 points to 844.0.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 96 to 63 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.48% or 11.1 to 762.1.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.35% or 0.25 to $71.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.45% or 0.34 to hit $74.81 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 5.05 to trade at $1789.85 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.21% to 6.5837, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4358.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 96.250.
