American Electric Power announced earnings per share of $1.08 on revenue of $3.50B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.04 on revenue of $3.93B.

American Electric Power shares are down 10% from the beginning of the year, still down 19.19% from its 52 week high of $104.97 set on February 4. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 3% from the start of the year.
